RESEARCH FIELDs
My research interests mainly concern:
Kinetic theory and derivation of hydrodynamic laws: Chapman-Enskog, Grad Moment and Invariant Manifold methods.
Foundations of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics: fluctuation-dissipation theorem; fluctuation relations; uphill diffusions; non-equilibrium 2D Ising model; non-equilibrium phase transitions; interacting particle systems.
Computer simulations: dynamical billiards; Monte Carlo methods; applications of lattice gas models to pedestrian, crowd and evacuation dynamics, spreading of epidemics, fluid flows; mixed populations dynamics.
